Small Doctor attended Aina Orosun Nursery and Primary school and later proceeded to Oniwaya Secondary School, Capital Road, Dopemu, Lagos where he was a science student. He wrote Jamb and later got admitted into the University Of Lagos but he had to drop out of school due to financial challenges but he said he hopes to go back soon.

According to Small Doctor, music is in his veins and he started composing song when he was in SS1, right from secondary school but he started singing professionally in 2001. If he didn’t venture into singing he would have gone into Aeronautic Engineering, that was why he went to science class and but he couldn’t resist the call of music.

Small Doctor disclosed how he went to steal when he was still poor so that his son could eat but he got caught and was given the beaten of his life. He got wounded due to the serious beating he received and had to lie to his son that he fell off the bike when he got home. Small Doctor disclosed the incidence on his son’s birthday and used the opportunity to apologize to his son for lying to him. He said he never intended to lie to his son but the kind of situation he has then warranted the lie. He had to say something to cover up the shame and he pleads for forgiveness from his son.

Small Doctor went to perform at an event organized by Winners Golden Bet in Agege Stadium and was assaulted by his fans.  The event was a friendly football match involving foreign Super Eagles Players and other local players. After the match, Small Doctor was in the parking lot on the way to where his car was parked when he was ambushed by some of his fans who had been waiting for him.

They prevented him from entering the car, the presence of security personnel and private aids did not stop them from their act. Small Doctor was asked to part with some cash by his fans which he somehow refused. The rampaging fans refused to let him go and the conflict degenerated into fighting and Small Doctor was assaulted.

He was overpowered and beaten by the people and the security men could do little to help him. His face became swollen as a result of the beating he received and he has to part with some money for his fans to release him.
